September Celebrations at Enticing Designs

And boy do we have a lot to celebrate!  This may be my only post for this month (due to upcoming travel) but I’ve planned ahead!  There are FOUR (4) big new exciting new releases for the ladies this month, and some really exciting news for everyone, so stick around a bit and enjoy the fun!

Pinstripe-Denim-Micro-Miniskirt-FeatureYes, I said birth month celebration!  In my Tribe (as a very dear friend recently described our real life social network), our 20+ year tradition isn’t just to celebrate birthdays, we celebrate whole birth months!  Imagine a whole month of eating what you want, when you want, where you want!  And yes, even a whole month of free passes for other things too!  Want to get away from it all?  It’s your Birth Month! Had too much fun with your friends Friday night?  It’s your Birth Month!  Arguing with your better half over the remote?  They have to concede…it’s your Birth Month!  So my 2nd birth month pick is a variation on a real life wardrobe staple of mine; the Pinstripe Denim Micro Miniskirt Collection.

Passion-Play-Web-FeatureThe Passion Play collection is another playful, colorful set I’ve been toying with.  The colors just drew me in and I had to hold myself back because this collection could easily have gotten out of hand!  Made to Mix and Match, these items are available individually so you can pick and choose what you want and how you want it!  Just one Tie Back Halter catch your eye?  Want to pair a pink tie back halter with a blue ruffled skirt?  It’s your choice!  Both items are made of rigged mesh, 10 color combinations, 5 sizes (XS – XL), and are available individually or in All Color Value Packs with a texture change HUD.  Right now they’re only at the Mainstore, but I may put them on Marketplace in the near future.

2015-Simplicity-Web-FeatureThe Simplicity Collection is all about getting back to basics.  Another designed to Mix and Match collection, this one is value priced to support new mesh designers in a fashionable way!  V-neck Fitted Tees makes use of assets from the Free KCreations V-neck T-shirt Developers Kit by Kat Fetisov available here.  Enticing Designs likes to support and promote new creators / designers whenever possible and we proudly give a shout out to Kat for this awesome full perm mesh!  As a designer who has been learning and working on making my own meshes for months I can promise you this is not easy, and Kat deserves our full support!  I’ve designed her mesh with a basic Dotted / Dappled design to coordinate with the Simplicity (DD) Hip-Cut Cuffed Shorts, which were also picked up from a new mesh designer when mesh was new to SL!  Yes folks, these items have been sitting in my inventory for a long time, unused until now.  They weren’t made to go together but designed and paired together they look great!  Support Content Creators in SL – these items are value priced – available individually, the top comes in 5 sizes and the shorts in 6, and each item can be purchased in an All Color Value Pack with texture change HUD.  Both items are only available at the Mainstore.

And this brings me to my last  Celebrating Newness news, and it’s not just about clothing or designs!  I’ve already eluded to the fact that I’m learning to make my own meshes – but there is so much more!  A dear friend of mine who recognizes how daunting my tasks as creator/designer/and store owner can be, has generously offered to take over a huge portion of the marketing tasks.  I’m certain everyone will welcome Di with open arms as I have, and know that her voice will be the one behind communications with groups and Facebook.  Please respect her privacy and continue to contact me if you have any problems, Di is the new voice of Enticing Designs, however I am still the main contact should you have any issues that need to be addressed.

Facebook?  Yes, we now have a Facebook!  Di was a bit distraught that I didn’t market Enticing Designs as I should have all these years, so she’s bringing us up to speed.  Thank her for doing this not me, because without her, it wouldn’t be possible.  One person can’t possibly handle everything on their own for a store this size, and I’m living proof.

Groups?  Yes!  There are two now!  The standard Subscribe-o-Matic group (which doesn’t take up an in world group slot) and receives general information, and a new, in world, VIP group!  Another design by Di, the new VIP group does have a fee to join which alleviates spam and phishing, but it also gives access to group gifts, group lucky boards, group mania, group discounts, special group sales, and so much more!  Look for Di as a moderator over this group – I’m available most of the time but she has hours West of me and can assist when I’m not around. Look for the new Social Media board in the Mainstore with the group joiner.

And lastly, a hint of what’s to come…

A VIP gathering space with VIP group only Midnight Mania & Group Lucky Chairs is already in place.  Items for VIP group boards are items currently in the main store.  Locate these on the 2nd floor of *CHALK* which is where all items for classic avatars (layer clothing with and without appliers) will soon be located.  Gift items from !Zing (Body Avatar: Eyes, Skins, Shapes, Tattoos, Makeups & Poses) will also be available here in the near future when I am ready for that division to open (see feature gift wall), however, advance gifts will be available to the VIP group.  A photo room with changeable photo cubes is open to the public…and…I’ll leave a little to your imagination for later…

Summer Promotional Items Are Here!

2015-July-Opalescence-FeatureDon’t let the feature picture fool you, there’s lots of fun for both men and women in store! (pun intended) I may have been away working SL12B over recent weeks, but that doesn’t mean I forgot about my friends. Absolutely not! I was dreaming up fun new promotional items for everyone!

First up, featured at top are the new Opalescence Gowns! Rigged mesh available in eight (8) luxurious cool summer colors, this curve hugging gown is sure to capture attention! Made in 5 sizes (XS through XL) and promotional priced at just L$100 each, you’ll definitely want to visit the ladies formal wear department on the 2nd floor of the Mainstore and try the Demo, look for the large wall display!

Second, I haven’t forgotten you manly male beasts out there, but I had to make this next promotional item available for all my girls too! I neglected to post about the new 2015 swimwear lines (men’s and women’s), but I had a chance to make these ultra-cool mesh flip flops that matched both lines and I just couldn’t pass it up!

Now get this; Both come with a HUD, and in that HUD are forty (40) different base textures, and six (6) different strap textures! Six (6) of those base textures are popular solid colors (with matching straps) so you can wear them with just about anything! It’s Almost Party Time!

It’s my favorite time of year again, the Second Life 12th Birthday Bash is about to begin!  Sims open to the public at 12 noon SLT Sunday June 21st (that’s in about 1 hour), and Sims are open with performances through Sunday June 28th.  The theme is year is “What Dreams May Come” and there are 15 Sims just jam packed with exhibits and stages and gifts and the SL12BIG Hunt!  Nothing is allowed to be sold at this event, it’s all FREE, so make sure you fly by!

Pictured above…well, that’s a sneak peak preview picture I took of The Station Welcome Area!  You have to see it in all it’s dark region glory with it’s natural settings to really feel the creepy spookiness of it all, I just happened to have my personal Windlight settings on when I captured the photo 🙂

None of the brilliance of the Cake Stage was lost with my Windlight settings though, I can guarantee that!  The picture below is only the very interior of the stage and doesn’t even begin to represent the enormity of the build itself which is a whole Sim large, you really must see it for yourself!

So as I stated before, this is my favorite time of the year, and the SLBirthday party is my absolute favorite event!  Historically I’ve always made sure I found the time to leisurely walk the Sims and check out each and every exhibit.  Last year I expanded on that, and I attempted to capture at least one photograph of each and every exhibit, stage, etc. (link to SL11B photos) which I must add, was a lot of work, but I thoroughly enjoyed it!

This year I’ve gone yet another step further, decided to put on skin and hair and bring Enticing of her skybox for a whole week so I can greet people at the party as an official SL12B Dreamy Hostess (I did not come up with that tag name)!  Yes, I’m stepping out of my comfort zone but I’m sure it will be a wonderful experience and I’m extremely excited for it to begin!  So, here’s the link to the SL12B Celebration website, check it out and come join the fun, maybe I’ll even see you there!

It’s Fun Friday! And other random crap…

Don’t you just love Friday’s?  The first part of the day usually isn’t that wonderful (with all the normal boring weekday items to take care of and such), but once that part is all said and done Friday’s are fun days! Or, depending on your schedule, fun evenings! Whatever the case – it’s the start to the weekend, which for me usually means I get to sleep in a bit more, and my time is my own to do with what I please (family and animals allowing, of course).

This weekend I’ve learned that I get to focus a bit more than usual on Second Life (SL), and this is a good thing!  Thanks to my wonderful better half who heard my cries of blogging frustration, I have now acquired my own domain and we have moved off of WordPress.com which will allow me much more freedom and control than I had previously.  Don’t get me wrong, I love WordPress.com, highly recommend it  over any other blogging sites I’ve seen because of the flexibility they offer, and obviously they have some wonderful tools that I’m still able to use on my own domain; but for my own specific needs it was a bit limiting.  Now if I can just get this one set up the way I want it…

Which leads me to the next bit…this post is not your normal SL store shopping post, and it shouldn’t be!  I want to set this in a separate area, News and Views maybe (well, not that name, but you get the idea), a general post / discussion area.  Comments welcome, spammers heads chopped off…that sort of thing.  I’ve always loved being able to interact people through SL but running a business all by yourself tends to make you a bit of a recluse and I must admit I don’t get out much anymore sadly…except for the occasional shopping spree…I am a female after all!

That being said, I’ll just nip this little comment from “KoolGuy92453” in the bud (name changed to protect the not-so-innocent as this one’s profile would lead you to believe), who sent me an instant message this past week while I was online working.  Now, if you’re a resident of SL and you’ve been a resident longer than a week, you’ve met someone like this guy before (or maybe a female version).  Some of us longer residents get a kick out of toying with these types, but I personally, get a kick out of being honest because they think I’m toying with them (ha)!

Besides asking a store related question to break the ice, he dug a bit deeper and asked me which one of the pictures in my profile was me.  Well, none of them actually, are my avatar in SL.  So he asked if any of the store models were me.  Well, yes, some of them are…but most of them are not.  Not giving up, he asked what I look like most of the time, and I could only reply that my avatar changes looks quite drastically so it would be hard for me to say, exactly.

After a long pause he asked me if I would mind popping down to the store to meet him.  Well, I wasn’t really dressed for making a public appearance as I explained to him just before I sent him the following picture, and I’m quite sure he was expecting to see something a little more…risque…
